Carton / Fuyuki Shimazu
Born in Kanagawa prefecture in 1987, Shimazu graduated from Tama Art University with a degree in information design and started his creative career officially in 2015. During his years as a university student he began designing wallets under his label ‘Carton’, made from cardboard boxes which he collected from roadsides and shops. Today, Shimazu holds exhibitions and workshops worldwide. He travels around the world to pick up unique cardboard boxes in order to create new and different collections. Shimizu made a movie of his journeys titled ‘From all corners (Tabisuru danboru)’.
